I did this mix about a year and a half ago to enter it in a friendly online mix competition. I think it was one of my best at the time. A nice mix of slightly older hip hop and newer R&B/soul. Leave me a comment and let me know what u think.

This is one of the 1st mixes that I did. I think it was actually the 4th complete one that I recorded. This is well over 2 years old. Admittedly, I've learned a lot since I've made it. When I made this, I wasn't fully aware of "counts" and good times to bring songs in. I was a lot more "heavy handed" hence some of the turntable dragging. But this mix is still one of my babies.
At the time that I made this, there was a saying called "grown and sexy". I just kinda flipped it to a more realistic term. This mix is also Jackson heavy.
This is a little something for the older crowd. I don't want you ll thinking that all I play is hippity hop bee-bop till ya don't stop with popcorn lol. This was a little short mix I did for people that wear their pants securely around their waists, and may have a touch of grey (or 5) in their hair. Hey, I do. Speaking of a touch of grey, My mom found her way on this site and scolded me for some Errors in grammar and capitalization. Ok I own up to the capitalization, I never capitalized on the net. HOWEVER, the grammatical error was not mine. It was the service I used.
So rest assured, momma stiles, I will be editing the site. I think the next mix I do may have "I'll always love my momma" but THIS one has Prince, Mike, Ashford and Simpson etc...
Last night, I watched history happen as Barack claimed the democratic nomination for president of the United States. It was about 11 pm when I stopped watching the coverage. I should have gone to bed, but I didn’t. I felt kinda energized. With gas 4 bucks a gallon, I wasn’t gonna drive anywhere. Didn’t feel like talking. So I turned on my turntables.
And made this mix. I mean it IS about to be a wild, historic, and memorable summer, right? So I made a mix of some of my favorite summery feeling songs. (lessons learned in this mix: song with live drummers. The tempo changes, making blending…a lil harder than today’s songs, with drum machines)
